Buying Kick followers: what should you expect?

You receive the number of followers you ordered on the channel, from profiles of international origin, with a 30-day refill already included in the service.

That is the whole agreement. What the channel does afterwards is not inside it.

But there is a Kick particularity that changes how to think about that number, and it is written in the platform's own help — not our deduction.

Following and being notified are two separate things

Kick's help page is literal:

"Following a channel and turning on notifications are two different actions. You can follow a channel without getting notified when the Streamer goes live."

In other words: a follower only becomes a live alert if that person turned the alert on themselves. Following, by itself, notifies nobody. The platform also groups notifications when several channels someone follows go live at once.

That undoes the argument most often found on sales pages — "every follower is a person notified when you go live". They are not. And it is worth knowing before you buy, not after.

So where does the number actually work

On the channel page, which is the address that answers for you around the clock.

Kick's documentation describes where the counter appears: next to the channel name and profile picture, and again in the bio and links block. It is what is visible to someone who arrived from a shared clip, from a link on another network, or while scrolling a category — and, on most of those visits, with you offline.

It is a small thing and an honest one: the number is read by whoever arrives, and that is what it does.

How big Kick is today

Worth sizing, because the platform grew fast and perception tends to lag. According to the quarterly Streamlabs report with Stream Hatchet, covering the first quarter of 2026:

In the same quarter, Kick held 14.4% of audience share, against 51.3% for Twitch — down 13.68% in a year — and 25.1% for YouTube Gaming.

A caveat that applies to that source and every other one here: none of these measurement firms publishes its collection methodology. They are the numbers the market uses and the press quotes, but they belong to those firms, cannot be audited from outside, and should be read that way.

What Kick states about inflated statistics

This part needs to be here, with the text in full.

Guideline 7 of the Community Guidelines, on integrity and authenticity:

"The use of bots, engagement manipulation, or third-party tools to artificially inflate views, followers, or interactions is prohibited."

The stated sanctions range from a warning to feature restriction, content removal, and temporary or indefinite account suspension. The partner programme document is specific: "Do not participate in any practices that artificially manipulate statistics." Losing verification or the programme for that reason carries a 30-day wait before reapplying.

There is also a Terms detail worth knowing before investing anything in the platform: in case of suspension or termination, the Terms provide for no refund and no exchange of value.

Read all of that before deciding. It is the platform's position, published by the platform, and it does not change because a sales page prefers not to mention it.
